One seat, three jobs
Ask my team what I am and the answer depends on the day:
I came up as an engineer, took over design when the company needed one, and now I own the product. In a team shaped by AI those are no longer three roles. I draw the first sketch. I'm trusted with the code. I talk to the customers, set the timeline, and hand the engineering team work that is ready to build. There's no title for that yet. I'm in it anyway.

The company needed a designer and I was closest. Figma system, tokens, handoff specs, accessibility reviews.

And then the roles stopped being separate.
